Special Interest Groups

In an effort to offer our local members more opportunities for informal knowledge sharing and peer networking, ASTD-VOS hosts a variety of monthly Special Interest Groups (SiGs) throughout the Valley.

SiGs are based on either specific areas of focus in the training & development field, or on geographical location.  If you have an idea for a SiG or want to volunteer to help lead a SiG, please contact our Director of Special Interest Groups.

The Process

Each SiG determines their own meeting schedule and location, based on participant input and requests.

Each meeting addresses a pre-determined topic and is led by a SiG member who volunteers to bring their latest research, experience, questions, or activities to the group.  All participants are encouraged to join in the discussion.

Meeting dates and topics will be promoted on the ASTD website and through SiG member e-mails.

If you are interested in participating in one of the CoPs, please send an email to the facilitator asking to be added to the distribution list.

Cost

This is a free benefit for ASTD-VOS members. Non-members can participate in 2 CoP meetings per calendar year as a guest of a member. Some meetings may have a small cost to cover food & beverage expenses.
